LogSprint

Your ATO logbook, written while you drive

Your car is worth thousands at tax time. LogSprint runs the 12-week logbook the ATO method asks for, on your iPhone, and turns it into an accountant-grade export.

Free to start · GPS only while driving · No accounts, no servers

LogSprint dashboard in week 8 of a 12-week sprint: $380 estimated deduction, 57% business use across 113 trips, tracking on

The 12-week sprint

Twelve weeks of driving. Five years of claiming.

The ATO logbook method needs one continuous 12-week record, then your business-use percentage holds for up to five years.

Week 0

It starts with one odometer reading

Type in what the dash says. That single number anchors the whole logbook, and LogSprint checks every trip against it from then on.

Weeks 1-12

Just drive. The logbook writes itself.

Trips record themselves while you work. At the end of a day you swipe each one business or private, which takes about as long as reading this sentence.

Week 12

Your percentage locks in

Sprint done. LogSprint stops tracking your location and stays out of your way until tax time, when the export is waiting.

Auto-tracking

Never lose a kilometre. Not even quietly.

Every tracker promises it never misses a trip. LogSprint promises something it can keep: every kilometre is either tracked or visibly reconciled.

Wakes when you drive off

iOS watches a small zone around where you parked; driving out of it wakes the app. No button to remember, nothing running overnight.

GPS only while driving

Location runs from the moment a trip starts to the moment it ends, then stops. LogSprint is not a 24/7 tracker, by design.

Silence gets reported

If tracking stops working, you hear about it within about 48 hours. Trip gaps and odometer readings that do not add up get flagged, so you see exactly which kilometres need a second look.

A LogSprint iPhone notification, captured on the simulator: No drives recorded since Tuesday. If you have driven since then, tracking may be off; tap to check.
What you get within ~48 hours of silence, instead of an empty logbook in June.

Auto-tracking is free for the first 14 days, then part of Pro. Manual logging stays free forever.

Compliance

Every field the ATO requires, recorded

The logbook method is a list of requirements. LogSprint encodes them, so a finished sprint meets ATO logbook method requirements by construction.

ATO logbook requirements and how LogSprint records each one
Every journey

Dates each journey begins and ends

Stamped automatically on every trip

Odometer at the start and end of each journey

Carried by the running odometer chain

Kilometres travelled per journey

Measured, and reconciled against the odometer

Purpose of each journey

Required at classification; no blank purposes

The 12-week period

A continuous 12-week logbook period

The sprint enforces continuity, and flags gaps

Odometer readings for each financial year

Prompted on 1 July and 30 June

The record itself

A record of edits

Edits are kept, not hidden

At tax time, the whole record exports as an accountant-grade PDF or CSV. The export is the product: it is what your accountant actually wants from you in July.

Want the rules themselves? What an ATO logbook has to contain, with the source linked on every point.

Privacy

Nothing touches our servers, because there are none

Your logbook is a record of everywhere your car goes. That is exactly the kind of data that should never sit in someone else's database, so it never does.

No account, no login

There is nothing to sign up for and nothing to sign in to. LogSprint never learns who you are.

No server holding a copy

Your logbook lives in a database on your iPhone and nowhere else. Delete the app and the data is genuinely gone.

Backups go to your iCloud, not ours

The app writes a backup to your own iCloud Drive, under your Apple ID, where we could not read it even if we wanted to. Move phones and your logbook comes with you.

This website asks for nothing either: no account, no cookies, no analytics.

Pricing

Sounds fair, let's go

The limits are on this page, not three screens into the app. Manual logging and one car stay free forever.
